- The insurer will indemnify you against the repair, replacement, or alteration of covered items within those described in an MOT Inspection Report (VT30) which prevents the vehicle specified on the schedule from being issued with a valid MOT certificate.
- There is a maximum claim limit of £500 which includes parts, labour, and applicable VAT to rectify any works covered on the relevant MOT failure notice.
Conditions of Insurance
- You have a 14-day cooling off period during which to read the policy schedule and conditions of insurance satisfies your cover requirements.
- An administration service fee (excess) of £20 per claim will be adjusted to the claim value.
Are there any restrictions on cover?
- There is a maximum claim limit of £500 which includes parts, labour, and applicable VAT to rectify any works covered on the relevant MOT failure notice.
- Failure to service your vehicle in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations will not invalidate this insurance. However, this insurance will not cover faults attributable to or caused by lack of routine or regular maintenance.
- To qualify for cover, your vehicle must have at least 90 days current MOT, or if the vehicle is under 3 years old, be more that 90 days from its MOT due date.
- This insurance only comes into effect when your vehicle is within 30 days of its next MOT due date.
- There is a maximum claim limit of £500 which includes parts, labour, and applicable VAT to rectify any works covered on the relevant MOT failure notice.

What is NOT Covered
- The cost of the MOT test and re-test fees.
- Components which are not cited as failures on the VT30, but which are replaced during the course of the repair or advisory items noted on the VT30.
- Components other than those specifically listed in the “What Is covered "section of the insurance schedule.
- Damage caused by accident, corrosion, impact, fire, vandalism or water ingress, adjustments, discoloration of lighting equipment, or defective wheel balance/wheel alignment.
- Brake shoes, pads, discs and drums.
- Components other than those specifically listed in the "What Is covered" section of the insurance schedule.
- Any claim made within 90 days of purchase of the agreement, or more than 30 days before or after the MOT test due date notified on the schedule.
- Qualifying VAT if you are VAT registered.
- The claim excess administration fee of £20.
